Sunrise

Splashes of pink ochre
Thrown in the sky
Amongst swirls of deep blue,
Hills bathed in violet wash,
Brush strokes of silver mist
Rising from a golden lake,
Fingerprints of burnt apricot
Reaching behind a mountain,
Obscuring last night’s coffee stain.

In rouge and red lipstick
I paint my naked self;
Aroused fuschia.
Ready to embrace
Your morning glory
With my beautiful body.
