Silk tree

Oh silk tree,
Your delicate flowers
Bring a reminder
Of summer afternoons;
Of warm light
Bathing my body
With glowing amber,
Your long limbs
Reach shadow fingers
To gently touch
My soft skin,
As I recline under
Your arched form,
Senses completely lost
In your exotic perfume,
Aroused by pink texture
Of long stamens
Reaching out to me
Like a lover’s tongue.
