Finding my self

I take my self
In dream fragments,
Surrendering freedom,
Erasing gender,
Willing to receive the he,
To give my she,
To become other;
Logic and emotion.

I don’t need pregnancy to be radiant,
Yet I can be stable and expectant,
Flowing with sensuality,
Nurturing and passionate,
Independent and sharing affection;
Don’t be confused by my breasts,
Soft skin does not destroy courage,
Gentleness does not deny determination.

Inside my conscious body
Is a dream self,
The other within;
No longer daughter, mother, sister.
Speaking with a true voice,
Not bound by vagina or penis,
Speaking softly,
Fusing masculine and feminine,
To be one whole self.
