Raindrop

Watching the world below
Through my water membrane
I am falling

Uncertain faces below
Look up and see a grey sky;
I see fractal colours
Of a rainbow
As I fall

City streets
Awash with dust,
In need of cleansing;
Lonely faces
Turned skyward
To watch me fall

These are my last moments,
This is why I exist;
To fall
Softly on her cheek.
