Unsaid

Yesterday is far behind me,
Walking with strangers in my head,
Words are lost, promise of gold,
Things are better left unsaid.

The light of the moon called me,
Silvery shadows on the road ahead,
Crazy people, whispered words of chaos,
Things are better left unsaid.

Listening to the silent night,
A lonely woman crying in my bed,
Words of sin and retribution,
Things are better left unsaid.

Ahead is the start of a new day,
Turning blind eyes to the road ahead,
I miss the taste of your lipstick,
Things are better left unsaid.
